This test is for professional in vitro diagnostic use only.
No quantitative result or rate of increase in concentration of IgG/IgM antibodies to filaria can be determined with this test. This test indicates the presence of IgG/IgM antibodies in the sample only and shall not be used as the sole criterion for the diagnosis of filariasis infection.
A negative result can occur if the quantity of W. bancrofti and W. malayi antibodies is below the detection limit of the method or if the antibodies are not present in the sample.
